Late follow-up of Persistent Truncus Arteriosus, after one-stage Repair, with Right Ventricular Remodeling.

We report long-term outcome after one-stage, surgical repair, in a two months-old girl with persistent truncus arteriosus type I, II. The operation was carried out the remodeling of right ventricle, using swine bicuspid pulmonary prosthesis. Twenty-six years later, patient is excellent clinical condition, CF I (NYHA), normal peripheral oxygen saturation. Recent invasive and not imaging show: absence intracardiac shunt growing ventricle outlet tract discrete double lesion valve. flow directed uniformly for both lungs. In selected cases, prognosis patients arteriosus, undergoing early avoiding use valved conduit, makes an evolution, without new interventions. Endovascular procedures, now well standardized, implantation valve stent, through catheter, will allow effective approach, presence late obstructions, who have undergone ventricular remodeling, conduits.
